Array’s Solar Series is designed specifically for certain types of roofs. This is how we can achieve a streamlined look that doesn’t affect the aesthetics of your home. Please review the qualifying criteria below to determine if your roof is compatible with the Array Solar Series. Some basic roof requirements are necessary for Array’s Solar Series to be properly installed on your roof. These requirements will be vetted by your installer. If you don’t have a local installer, an Array representative can help you determine if your roof is compatible with Array’s Solar Series.

1. Roof condition

Your roof must be in good condition. Roofing must be intact with no visible or structural damage.

2. Project location

Our installer network is still growing, and we will make every effort to ensure we have an installer in your area.

3. Age of roof

Even if your roof is in good condition, some municipalities may restrict adding solar to older roofs.

4. Structure type

Is this a residential or commercial building? Different building types require specific permitting.

5. Timeline

When would you like the project completed? Is this new construction? Understanding your timing will help us connect you with the right installer.

Standing Seam Metal Roof

If you have a metal standing seam roof, our SlimFit Solar Series could be the perfect solution to your solar needs.

Panels must have at least 14.5” between the seams, the pitch (angle) cannot be more than 40 degrees., and channels must be smooth with no ribbing or striations, like this:

TPO or EPDM Roof

Do you have TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin/single-ply synthetic) or EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer/rubber) roofing, like the images below? Our Array Flex Series compliments this roof type.

Your roof must be flat, with no more than a 2 degree pitch.
